THE BRAND AND ITS DESIGNERS

When you'll know that Waffel Waffels only is the icing on the cake of Maeva (top) and Dominique's (bottom) life, you'll probably be jealous of their daily stock of creativity.

Because Waffel Wafels only is one of the many collective projects that both Maeva and Dominique are working on in their carreers : Dominique is an artist and performer, graduated of Paris and Lyon Beaux-arts school, and one half of Gachette of the Mastiff, "alien pop electronic" band.
Maeva is first of all a dancer trained in Lyon and Montpellier in the early 2000, and worked with numerous contemporary choreographers and as member of Clubdes5, a dance crew which allowed her to create her own choreographies.
Dominique + Maeva is a two-headed team which displays its creativity in the field of performance and contemporary art but also in fashion, with Waffel Waffels.

The brand, which name is a kind of tribute to Dominique's northern anchoring, produces two-tasted clothing, vintage remix of second-hand pieces which find a new (double)life in Maeva hands and with Dominique's supply from thrift stores. Two dresses become two dresses which prints are all mixed up, shirts become schizophrenic and sweat-shirts don't know if they should be worn as shirt or dresses.
Waffel Waffels is not a conceptual nor a pretentious brand, but can bring a good shot of cool and edgy to your look, with its wearable and affordable mix.
